Human Resources Generalist

 

What we are looking for

We are actively looking for an Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team at GOPA Com.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR generalist enquiries, escalating to the DoFA or appropriate Director where necessary;
  • Administer all changes/data encompassing the full employee life-cycle (new hire info, employment status, absence management, holidays salary data, relevant personal info, health and life insurance programs etc.);
  • Manage payroll;
  • Prepare work contract and annexes;
  • Assist in maintaining organizational charts and job descriptions and classification;
  • Set up, review and periodically update the Employee Handbook;
  • Assist with setting up the HR cyclical calendar and proactively animate it with the businesses;
  • Assist with the development of the company people strategy and culture alongside senior management;
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Directors, Team Leaders and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring that good practice is followed consistently;
  • Supports the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.

Job qualifications

  • Master degree in HR, Economics, Law (good knowledge in Belgian Social Legislation is a must);
  • First experience as HR Generalist, officer, administrator or any other HR position (3 to 5 years);
  • Understanding of Belgian labor laws;
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus);
  • Strong interpersonal/consulting skills, working effectively at all levels of the organisation;
  • Excellent communication both verbally and via email;
  • Strong ethics and reliability;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in both attitude and approach;
  • Ability to plan ahead within the cyclical calendar to provide proactive HR support to the business;
  • Comfortable around IT (Excel, Word, Ppt) ; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
