Variety is the spice of life
One of the benefits of working in a communications agency is the variety of topics that we get to cover. We work on contracts covering topics ranging from sustainable development, taxation and banking regulation to participatory democracy, cybersecurity and space. Sometimes, a contract comes along that offers all of this variety in one package.

In March 2017, GOPA Com. signed a four-year Framework Contract worth EUR 20 million with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) for media relations and outreach services, marking the start of four years of exciting and varied work on a wide range of projects across the EU and around the globe.
The projects implemented are remarkable for their diversity and include media relations for a range of agencies and institutions, such as Eurostat, DG Justice and Consumers, and the Joint Research Centre, to name but a few. Services also included press trips and media partnerships, and our team accompanied EU journalists on trips to projects implemented by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection (DG ECHO) in crisis areas as far flung as Bangladesh, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Iraq, the Philippines, Zimbabwe, and others.
This Framework Contract will end in March 2021, just as a second DG COMM Framework Contract, which GOPA Com. won in 2020, starts to kick off in full. This second contract will build on the success of the first, and will see GOPA Com. continue to provide the EU Institutions with targeted communication support in Europe and beyond.
